Globe skateboard shoes originated in Melbourne, Australia around '94. With local Ozzie rippers of Al Boglio, Andrew Currie and Jason Ellis, they had instant success and took the Globe brand to the USA. Signing pro skateboarders Rodney Mullen and Chet Thomas they created pro model shoes such as the Globe CT-IV, which is still around today.
Globe was the first company to ever launch a women's only skate shoe brand in Gallaz in 2000. After mixed success of Globe shoes during the 00s, Globe started to produce complete cruiser skateboards and longboards. Soon after Globe launched the Dusters California skateboard brand of longboards.
Globe shoes are reproducing many of their older shoes while supporting skateboarders such as Mark Appleyard and David Gonzales, also surfers like Dion Agius.
