Universal Works was founded by David Keyte in 2009 with a considered aesthetic, high on detail and proudly independent. It was developed and inspired by 1970s British working-class culture, which David grew up around and in an era when work and weekend clothing were vastly different. Drawing on this nostalgic heritage, Universal Works radically blurs any work, home or weekend clothing and championing a universal approach. They also honour small production and use local British factories where possible to produce a refined collection of tailored menswear that is both stylish, wearable and considered no matter what the approach.
