Antony van Engelen and Vans present the Vans AVE Pro skateboarding shoe. The AVE Pros are Vans' most technically advanced skate shoes the company has ever made. The 2019 shoe makes use of DURACAP and RapidWeld no sew technology, the LuxLiner inner linings give better fit and durability which is backed up by Vans' new UltimateWaffle construction.

AVE was heavily involved during the design process of the shoes and spoke of his desire to create a "durable, technical skate shoe" as well as one which was "a light, longer-lasting shoe for skating."

AVE has been sponsored by Vans for several years releasing a number of pro models with the brand - such as the Vans AVE Classic Pro and Vans AVE Rapidweld pro. He appeared in the shoe company's 2015 full-length skateboard video Propeller, created by Greg Hunt, a video in which he had the closing section and ultimately led to him winning the coveted Thrasher Magazine Skater of the Year award for that year.
