Presenting the latest adidas Chewy shoe, a fresh new colour way of the recently released adidas Liberty Cup skateboard shoe. The adidas Chewy shoe makes use of a tasteful black and gum colour way and features subtle hints of purple. Chewy is written in gold across the shoes sidewall accompanied by the trefoil logo.
The Liberty Cup colour way is Chewy Cannon’s latest shoe with adidas Skateboarding, previously releasing the adidas Palace pro in partnership with his adidas and Palace Skateboarders teammate Benny Fairfax, as well as a colour way of the Camps Vulc a while back.
The Liberty Cup silhouette is inspired by the chunky court shoes of the late 90s. The shoe is comprised of a combination of soft suede, smooth leather and breathable mesh uppers. There is a generous amount of protection in the ollie areas which give the shoe its durability.
Cushioning is provided by the Liberty Cup’s bounce midsole, this helps to absorb impacts keeping your feet comfortable and giving greater protection against heel bruises.
Chewy Cannon is a skateboarder from Gorleston, a small seaside town on the East Coast of England. After appearances in East Anglian scene videos in the late 90s and early 2000s he went on to skate for Hoax Skateshop and more famously Blueprint Skateboards.
Chewy is now, of course, part of the Palace Skateboards team, spending a lot of his time in London. He has become synonymous with Southbank thanks to the amount of hours he has put in skating the undercroft, as well as being a prominent figure in the successful Long Live Southbank campaign which preserved the spot for generations to come.
