Following up on the recently launched Matchbreak Super is a special Shin Sanbongi colourway from adidas Skateboarding. The new silhouette has all the hallmarks of a classic adidas skateboard shoe. Throw in the design direction from Shin himself and you have a contender for colourway of the year already.
To announce the collaboration Shin filmed a part with fellow adidas team riders, Dennis Busenitz, Silas Baxter Neal, Neils Bennet and Filip Almqvist. Shot in locations from Detroit to downtown Taipei the part covers some insane terrain.
Photographer Zander Taketomo was present for the entire shoot, which precisely was filmed in the cities of Los Angeles, Taipei, New York, Philadelphia, Albany, Paris and Detroit. Scroll down for a behind the scenes look at the shoot, it offers insight into how much time, work, effort (and fun!) goes into producing a skate clip.

The Shin Sanbongi colourway is available now. Including a unique seamless interior with Adi-Zone liner, a rubber Adituff toe box, and a moulded adiPRENE sockliner. Fitting like a sock, it offers improved comfort and control. Externally the higher foxing tape to the Vulc wrap brings more abrasion resistance, gives a low profile look and, importantly, provides deeper foot placement, giving more connection to your skateboard.
