The Polar Skate Co. Fall ‘19 collection has landed, so let’s take a closer look at what Pontus Alv and the boys have for us this time around.
Whilst we may not wish to admit it, colder weather is coming, with this in mind Polar has released two puffa jackets, the Pocket Puffa and the Stripe Puffa. Both are a boxy fit, are water repellant and breathable and also make use of goose down filling - remember, these guys are used to cold winters so you can trust it’ll keep you warm.
Keeping on the cold weather tip there’s a new striped fleece pullover which comes in both caramel and dark green. The elastic string pulls at the bottom mean you can adjust the snugness whilst the ¼ zip-close gives you the option of added warmth should you want it.
There’s a range of crewnecks, jumpers and sweatshirts. The crewnecks come in graphic editions, such as the Brain Blower crew, as well as the more reserved Team Crew. A nice selection of colours on offer in the Zip Neck Sweatshirt - including light blue, prune and black options.
A couple of knit sweaters are included in the form of the Polar Knit Sweater, which features a prominent Polar logo on the front. This is complemented by the Snake Knit Sweater which features artwork from Jacob Ovgren.
New Polar denim in the form of the choice looking Denim Chinos, these are a baggy fit with a tapered leg and come in both dark blue and bleach blue, expect these ones to be popular. Carrying on the denim theme there are new colours of the Big Boy jeans which are now available in army green and pitch black versions. The ‘93 Denim follows suit also being offered in these colours.
The 90’s pants are very much back and available in as both 90’s Cords and 90’s Denim, there’s a nice range of colour options of the cords, including prune and police blue. The 90’s Denim gets a new black version also and there's a re-up on the classic Surf Pants.
There’s a solid selection of jackets in this collection - both the Twill Jacket and Cord Jacket look both stylish and functional. Plenty of pockets and lightweight enough to skate in, but heavyweight enough to keep you warm when needed.
We’re stoked on the new velour direction, those sweatpants look extremely comfortable, though perhaps only the jazziest of skateboarders would rock them in the wild. The accompanying Velour Zip Neck sweatshirt is also very nice. Hopefully, we’ll get to see people rep the full outfit!
Stripes and patterns are heavily featured again, the new range of Art shirts and Patterned shirts look great. Shin Sanbongi gets his own signature stripy long sleeve and there are new colours of the Stripe Pocket tee and Stripe Surf Tee.
Accessories come in the form of a new Boiled Wool cap in plum, black and grey this is backed up by a new range of Cord and Denim caps. There are beanies and some new colours of the hip and dealer bags and of course more of the ever-popular Happy Sad socks.
The Polar Fall '19 collection is completed by a range of graphic Polar t-shirts, Polar hoodies and Polar long sleeves in a variety of colours and designs, the new Strongest of the Strange long sleeve is a particular standout. You’ll no doubt recognise many of the graphics from the fresh drop of Polar wood we’ve had on Parade for the past week or so.
