Vans join forces with their Vancouver, Canada based team rider Breana Geering for an all new capsule collection, featuring Breana's take on the Skate Old Skool and Skate Era shoes.
Breana has become a household name in recent times, earning herself a spot on the Girl Skateboards roster as well as representing Vans. She's known for her technical ability, including choice manual tricks and stylish ledge moves.
Speaking about the collection Breana explains: “I wanted it to be special and personal. I really made it my own by adding in some of my own little doodles to the back of the shoe and the insole. I really wanted to make a nice, simple shoe that people would be stoked to wear, to skate or to the bar.”
The Skate Old Skool shoes feature a black outsole, laces and side stripes to contrast with the tasteful port uppers. Debossed faux snakeskin adds elevated details on the quarters, whilst Breana's doodles on the heel demonstrate a creativity which extends beyond her skateboarding.
The Skate Era boasts marshmallow uppers which compliment the black outsole and laces. The same debossed snakeskin quarters appear here too, the shoe is finished with brushed gold eyelets and the new standard Vans Checkerboard woven patch.
Supporting the two pro colorways is an apparel collection designed once more by Breana. The idea for the apparel being to create pieces which allow for movement whilst on the board. This is seen in the Breana Tour Tank, a grey rib knit which features custom Vans logos and her signature doodles. The tank is paired with her Authentic Plaid Pant, a Study Stretch chino with allover print, and the Breana jacket, a black cotton canvas relaxed fit jacket with doodle graphic on the breast pocket. The Breana Bucket Hat and Tote complete the collection, with snakeskin and doodle designs tying it all together.
