adidas have teamed up with the Oakland, CA-based crew, Unity Skateboarding to release a new collection of skate shoes and apparel. The collection is inspired by Unity's 'Don't Be Afraid of Who You Are' motif and celebrates the queer and trans communities within skateboarding.
Unity Skateboarding has grown from an inclusive meetup and skate in Oakland to groups around the world sharing the message of love and inclusivity within skateboarding, and the wider world. Spearheaded by Jeff Cheung, who's illustrations are the basis of Unity's graphic identity.
You'll find Cheung's drawings in the insoles of both the adidas Coronado and Continental Vulc models which lead this collaboration. Supporting the footwear is an apparel collection which is completely unisex. Cheung's artwork is found as an all-over print for a reversible jacket, as well as being front and centre on a hoodie, jersey, vest tee and hankey as well as embroidery on a blush pink short sleeve shirt.
The adidas x Unity collection released on August 28th, keep your eyes on the Parade store for the collab pieces.
