adidas Skateboarding and Nora Vasconcellos present Nora’s first ever unisex collection of clothing and footwear. The capsule, which is made up of six pieces, was designed by Nora and reflects her unique style and love of skateboarding.
“I want to make stuff so men will want to buy it, children will want to buy it, your little sister will want to buy it, that was my goal” Nora tells us in our exclusive Parade film. When she got the go-ahead from adidas she already knew what she wanted to create. “We’re doing a knit polo, we’re doing purple pants, we’re doing a rugby. So we ended up with this full collection of grandma chic clothes, haha.” The main focus here is inclusivity, “we have a lot of young girls skating” Nora explains, “so we made some really small sizes, I want this to be super accessible, I want anyone to be able to buy it.”
Nora’s unisex clothing collection includes colour blocked pastel polo shirts which come in both short and long sleeve versions. There’s her trademark light purple chino pants, a yellow fleece jacket, and a hand painted watercolour t-shirt which makes references to Nora’s love of drawing. Alongside the clothing is an adidas 3MC skateboard shoe in purple, the shoe is customised with Nora’s name and original artwork on the insole. The heel tab features Nora’s birth town Pembroke, Massachusetts and her date of birth.
