Fresh from the Doll video the new crop of Girl ams, Simon Bannerot, Neils Bennett and Manchild crept into London this past December with Rick McCrank and Sean Malto. Let's just say that coming to London, in December, to ride a skateboard is pretty brave. So hats off to the boys for even getting on the plane, never mind the late night missions they must have put in to get a 10-minute edit out of this. Not only this but they chalked up some serious NBD’s and killed it at a bunch of the capitals crust. Some clues laying in that last low-end sentence!
This trip was to support the Girl Kodak collection of decks and clothing. Each Girl pro receives a Kodak deck alongside a bunch of clothing including t-shirts, hoodies, coaches and polo shirts. The range of Kodak film is represented, Kodak Kodachrome, Tri-X, Ektachrome, Ektar and 400.
I’m sure Girl would have been hyped with a Kodak hook-up back in the Mouse, Paco and Chocolate Tour days when Spike was burning through 16mm and 35mm film. Joking of course, it’s cool that brands like Kodak are looking at skateboarding to tell stories around a product they use so lovingly. Where is the Century Optics collab?!
