The magician, the wizard, the master - whatever you call Gustav Tonnesen he really is all of these names. It’s kinda insane. adidas listened and duly issued him his own colourway of the Samba ADV.
Choosing his preferred black & white colour scheme, Gustav got to work on the R&D and he didn't hold back. Gustav skated the original Samba ADV and didn’t like how the toe piece was coming unstitched when he skated. Therefore, to aid the flick feel and durability, he asked the design team @ adidas to mould the toe with one piece of material rather than construct the toe from a number of pieces. And if you're Gustav, then you get to call the shots and change these things.
Along with a super grippy and slightly translucent sole, Gustav's new Samba ADV clearly performed as he up's himself at the Arco de Triunfo banks in Barcelona (see evidence in the video clip below). Everyone else wallies these things or at best, ride-on grinds. But to Gustav, he pops out of them like it’s the perfect kicker. The fakie tre flip was next level but this nollie-cab flip is just twisting the knife. Quite the f**king mayor.
You can shop Gustav's shoe by visiting the adidas Skateboarding brand page or searching for "samba adv".
