The Copa Nationale will initially be released in a striking royal blue colourway, featuring yellow accents and a classy gum sole. Inspiration for the silhouette is heavily rooted in adidas’ sports heritage – reminiscent of indoor football trainers.
The low profile shoe features a modernised cupsole construction providing security and stability for the foot. Cloudfoam gives the shoe its comfort, support and impact protection. The Copa Speciale is constructed using premium leather and mesh materials, alongside a durable rubber tip which is there to improve both grip and board feel.
“Pulling from adidas’ sport heritage is extremely vital when designing shoes because of how rich our archives are,” said Marcus Taylor, one of the adidas Skateboarding footwear designers. “The inspiration for the Copa revolves around our indoor soccer shoes and that low profile aesthetic. With that, we also wanted to capture the energy of the early 2000s in skate culture told through a modern yet minimal silhouette that highlights the tech in a smart way.”
The adidas Copa Nationale launches on Parade on March 1st.
