Vans recently threw Elijah Berle in amongst the pro-shoe ranks with his own signature model. The Vans Berle Pro hints at some of the classic Vans he’s known for wearing and his new shoe keeps it clean with a construction of a suede/canvas mix to provide durability and that instant straight-out-of-the-box skateability. The Berle Pro is released in vintage infused Rumba Red, classic black/white and an STV Navy.
For his first Vans pro-shoe Elijah chose to re-work the iconic Vans Waffle sole. Working alongside Vans, Elijah mastered a new outsole design, which gives a deeper formula to the diamond pattern across the heel. Called WaffleControl, this new outer sole debuts in the new Vans Berle Pro and promises to provide more board feel and grip.
Other features that make this a Vans Pro offering, meaning it’s ready for heavy skateboard use, is the classic Vans Duracap, now extended to sustain further abrasion around the all-important toe area. A new inner side-wrap and Vans Luxliner make the internals a comfy ride and they also threw in contoured footbeds, which accompanied with the new WaffleControl outer sole, brings cup-sole like support with a Vulc feel.
If it’s got Elijah Berle stamp of approval and is built to sustain his ATV powers then we’re sure it will be a great skate shoe.
