Following hot on the heels of Vans collaboration with Dime, their newest style, The Wayvee, will be available in a limited edition colorway designed by pro rider, Tyson Peterson.
Tyson is known for his creative approach and eclectic style, as well as his love for thrift stores. For his Wayvee colorway he's opted for a simple all-black design with color pops of red, yellow and green.
The Wayvee comes with an all-new upper construction that makes use of translucent mesh quarters to provide both breathability and flexibility. The reliable DURACAP reinforced toe cap is there to help with durability. Inside the shoe is the Lux-Liner insole, this offers a sock-like fit giving greater support and comfort to the foot. The outsole is Vans' Wafflecup construction, giving cupsole support with the boardfeel of a vulcanized model.
Tyson's all black colorway features pops of red, yellow and green gradients across the translucent upper. Further details are found on the all black corduroy heel which is embroidered with Tyson's signature. A contrasting Vans logo patch appears on the tongue as well as an embroidered peace sign pattern. Tyson's illustrations provide the artwork for the shoe's footbed.
Alongside the Wayvee is a curated apparel pack designed by the man himself. This includes staple pieces such as the Off The Wall short sleeve tee and standard crew fleece. The collection is completed by a loose tapered corduroy cargo pant, the Torrey skate jacket and socks with red, yellow and green peace signs.
