Danny Way, Helicopter Drop, San Diego. 1997.
Danny Way and DC Shoes built what was the first of a new style of 'mega ramps', designed specifically to go far higher than anyone else had previously managed on vert. Danny broke the World Record highest air before jumping out of a helicopter, just for the hell of it. This stunt opened the doors and raised the stakes of what was possible on a skateboard, the new mega-ramp era was born. Danny is one of skateboarding's pioneers, consistently changing the game since turning professional at the age of 14, and later jumping the great wall of China. His place in skateboarding history is assured.
