Eastpak backpacks started way back in 1952 when they supplied the US military with canvas products. Eastpak were originally known as Eastern Canvas Products, but soon saw customers using their military products for carrying high schools books. They designed the iconic daypack, which is the basic backpack we now know today in 1976 and boomed throughout the late 70s and 80s across America.
In 1984 Eastpak were so confident of the quality of their products, they invented a 30-year warranty, which still stands today. The late 80s and 90s saw the designs and materials really blossom. Canvas backpacks bags were soon produced in many colours, with a black backpack still a favourite for school today. Suede and leather backpacks were introduced, which increased the lifespan of the bags.
Eastpak luggage was soon introduced, complete with wheelie bags, trolley bags and a host of carry on bags that complied to cabin size for city break travel. Features include TSA locks, hard shell and soft shell materials and they come in a host of smaller bag styles, such as shoulder bag, bum bags, hip bags and a host of accessories. Today the Eastpak collection is huge with so many colours, shapes and designs. Collabs with A.P.C. and Raf Simons push their fashion forward direction and keep Eastpak bags the market leader for any travel bags.
