Novesta was founded in 1939 in Partizánske, Slovakia when famous shoemaker Jan Antonin Bata opened a new factory. Novesta is regarded as one the last fully European produced shoe brands. Making their shoes in the same factory, with the same techniques and machinery as they have since the brand launched.
Sustainability is key to Novesta's production - choosing ethical materials to create simple, elegant designs with a prolonged lifespan - using a tried and tested formula that has worked for over 70 years. This has earned the brand certificates such as VFCS for natural rubber and GOTS for organic cotton.
