Shoe Goo

Shoe Goo

Shoe Goo is a brand of adhesive and sealant which was created in the 1970s by Lyman Van Vliet to repair footwear. Shoe Goo is owned by Eclectic Products out of Eugene, Oregon. Shoe Goo was initially used by tennis players, and then later runners. It became popular amongst skateboarders as it is an affordable way to prolong the life of skateboard shoes, which can be expensive, and have to deal with griptape abrasion on a regular basis. Shoe Goo bonds, repairs and rebuilds for permanent repairs. It’s an excellent sealant which makes it ideal for repairing small holes. It’s waterproof, so the bond will remain secured even when the shoe is exposed to water. Shoe Goo also creates extra traction, which makes it perfect for skateboarders.
