Wayward Wheels was established by Andrew Brophy and Benny Fairfax in 2014. Brophy was riding for Girl Skateboards and travelling heavily between Los Angeles and Australia. Benny was in London riding for Palace Skateboards. Between them both they foresaw the global skate market shift towards a more conscious buyer wanting a highly premium product.
Wayward Wheels are available in sizes 50mm, 51mm, 52mm and 53mm. All coming with a 101a durometer and 34mm wide, with a 19mm contact width. Wayward call this profile their ‘Round Cut’.
Aside from producing great quality skateboard wheels that both lasted and looked awesome, Wayward Wheels felt the urge to build a premium apparel line to compliment the whole Wayward Wheel brand. Their range of Wayward sports jackets and quality t-shirts prints diversified Wayward beyond wheels.
Having been in the skate game a long time Andrew Brophy and Benny Fairfax knew a lot of heads that immediately saw the promise in Wayward Wheels. Step forward, Diego Najera, Lucas Puig, Tyler Bledsoe, Mile Silavs, Rodrigo TX, Tom Snape, Casper Brooker, Mike Carroll, Rick Howard, and Magnus Bordewick. All of this makes the Wayward Wheel team a strong line-up of pro skateboarders.
