Thank you for the support, it's time to say goodbye.
Vans and Krooked Skateboards have linked up for a special collection uniting skateboarding legends, Natas Kaupas and Ray Barbee. Natas taps into famous graphics from the past - Ray's Ragdoll and the Natas Panther - adding the signature Krooked eyes and styling them across footwear, apparel, plus a special Krooked guest board.
This collab also launches the Vans Checkerboard Union (VCU), a subset of Vans Skateboarding which is dedicated to limited edition collections, experimental footwear technology and construction, and skateboarding essentials - seeking to uplift skate communities globally and further progress the culture.
Headlining this release is the Skate Half Cab '92 VCU which boasts Ray's Ragdoll graphic on the left and the Natas Panther on the right, with the collection's namesake debossed on the sidewall. It's the 30th year of the Vans Half Cab, and the model rightly sits front and centre of the collab, underlining its undeniable cultural significance.
Supporting this we have the Skate Sk8-Hi, Skate Slip-On and Skate Old Skool shoes. These models all feature additional versions and variations of Natas' artwork, as well as Vans' custom Checkerboard print in various iterations across their uppers. Vans x Krooked handwritten lettering appears on the Skate Sk8-Hi, as well as custom suede heel counters. DURACAP reinforcement, a Vans staple, is utilized across the collection, designed to protect high-wear areas from abrasion, whilst comfort is provided by the PopCush energy return footbeds.
Rounding off the collaboration is a selection of apparel offerings - the Off The Wall short sleeve t-shirt comes in aegean blue and black, there's a black fleece with checkerboard details on the sleeves, and a snapback also in aegean blue. Each piece of apparel features the Natas Ragdoll and Panther sketches, plus a Vans x Krooked logo.
The Vans x Krooked by Natas Kaupas for Ray Barbee Collection will be available from 25th February, 2022. Keep your eyes on Parade for more updates.
