The Converse CONS CTAS Pro, more commonly known as the Chuck Taylor All Star, is easily the brand's most recognisable shoe. Skateboarders have been making use of this classic silhouette for years, so it was only right that Converse made it a staple of their skateboarding range.
The CTAS Pro is available in two versions, both of which offer both a hi-top and a low-top option. You can find the Converse CTAS Pro in canvas, the canvas they use here is suede backed, meaning it will be able to deal with the griptape abrasion in a far better way. The shoe includes a Lunarlon insole to cushion the foot with thin padding on both the tongue and collar. It features vulcanised construction and employs Converse's grippy gum rubber outsole as well as that iconic toe cap. The CTAS Pro canvas is commonly available in both black and white, with other colourways also out there. Sean Pablo made use of this silhouette for his pro-colourway which was released in 2018.
The Converse CTAS Pro Suede is the second version of the Chuck Taylor in the Converse skateboarding range. As the name suggests the upper is made out of durable suede, this means that it will be slightly longer-lasting than the canvas version, but may take a little longer to break in owing to the nature of the material. It too features the Nike Lunarlon insole for impact cushioning and the gum rubber outsole for grip on those flicks.
The Converse CTAS Pro is a shoe that will likely never go out of fashion, and with these options to choose from you can keep rocking the same silhouette you know and love and switch up the colours to get that fresh feeling. The CTAS Pro is a favourite of Converse team riders including Bobby De Keyzer, Brian Delatorre and Sean Pablo.
